Thomas R. Pollard, MD, FACS
Thomas Pollard, MD, FACS, is board certified by the American Board of Thoracic Surgery and has more than two decades of experience in all aspects of adult cardiac surgery. He earned his medical degree and completed his general surgery residency, as well as his fellowship training in cardiac surgery, from the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio, Texas.
Dr. Pollard specializes in open heart surgery that encompasses coronary bypass and valve surgery, as well as minimally invasive surgery, including transcatheter techniques and thoracic aortic surgery. He also performs general thoracic surgery, including pulmonary and esophageal procedures.
Dr. Pollard is an active member of Alpha Omega Alpha, Aust Surgical Society, American College of Surgeons, Society of Thoracic Surgeons, Texas Medical Association, and the Heart Valve Society.
